Changes to WebLogin and Two-Step Authentication

Changes to WebLogin and Two-Step Authentication Coming March 30

Thursday, February 22, 2018

On March 30, WebLogin and two-step authentication will change as University IT (UIT) implements further enhancements to improve the usability and maintainability of these services.  You will notice some changes when you log in, but once you become familiar with the new screens and options, you will be logging in faster and more easily than ever.

Changes to the login screen

The new login screen will look very similar to what you’ve used for the past several years. A few changes are:

  • The text at the top of the screen will be Stanford | Login rather than Stanford | WebLogin.
  • Forgot Your Password? link will be available on the initial login screen — rather than only after a failed login attempt — letting you quickly reset your password when needed.
  • The web address to log in will be login.stanford.edu instead of weblogin.stanford.edu. You will automatically be redirected to the new address.
