Amy Shy Appointed Senior Director of Business Affairs Human Resources

Amy Shy joined Business Affairs as our Senior Director of Human Resources on April 11,2022.

Amy came to us with 20 years of HR leadership experience and most recently was with Baylor, Scott & White Health (BSWH) Systems, the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas. At BSWH, Amy led a team of 12 HR professionals. She was also a trusted advisor and, as the HR chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Council, was instrumental in architecting and delivering on DEI initiatives. She is passionate about Best Place to Work initiatives, total reward programs, talent planning and individual development plans, as well as emotional intelligence workshops. Amy calls herself a collaborative mentor-centered servant leader and is described by her staff, partners and clients as thoughtful and compassionate. 

Amy earned her undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Master’s degree in HR Management and Employment Relations from Rutgers Graduate School of Management. Amy will be relocating to California with her husband Charles Sr. and her two sons, Charles Jr. (CJ) who plays high school football and Gabriel who enjoys baseball and swimming. As a self-proclaimed ‘Foodie’, Amy enjoys culinary arts. She also loves travel, films, community outreach and spending time with family.
